UNDSCVRD Sundays in the Age of COVID-19: Our Safety Protocols

We are so excited to pop up at Sunday Streets SoMa to support Folsom Street businesses along with some of our favorite Undiscovered food and retail vendors.

While we cannot wait to connect in-person with the UNDSCVRD and SoMa Pilipinas family again, the safety of our community is a top priority of ours. Rest assured we are setting the gold standard and have established some of the most aggressive COVID-19 safety protocols in the Bay Area.

Social Distancing Enforced

Social Distancing Enforced

We have doubled the space footprint of UNDISCOVERED in 2020. The Sunday Market occurs outdoors across 3 city blocks closed to car traffic to maximize space for social distancing. Outdoor dining and retail vendor areas are spread apart to prevent attendees from clustering with floor markings to indicate 6ft spaces.

Upon entry, we encourage all guests to check their temperature and utilize our contact tracing app to help us prevent mass exposure to the virus. If a guest tests above 100.4º F, they will be encouraged to shelter in place. The SF Nurses Association will also provide free general health checks.

Masks for all guests and staff will be strictly enforced throughout the event. Only guests actively eating and drinking in the communal dining area will be allowed to remove their masks. We will provide free, disposable masks for those that do not have one as well as PPE for our retail vendors including masks, face shields, and gloves.

We will provide a sanitation station at each entrance. The sanitation station will include a touch free hand sanitizer dispenser, free masks, and extensive signage on social distancing protocol. We will also provide hand sanitizer pumps at each communal dining area. Each communal dining area will be staffed to sanitize and bus each table and seating after each party leaves.

On-Site COVID-19 Testing

As part of our community safety programming, the nursing program at San Francisco State University will be offering free COVID 19 testing in the next few weeks.
