Food & Retail COORDINATOR

UNDISCOVERED SF is a creative night market going into our 3rd Season of events. This free monthly Music + Art + Dance + Food Festival brings together artists, dancers, DJs, performers, and local businesses to support the SOMA Pilipinas Cultural District, which aims to increase the visibility and celebrate the contributions of the Filipino community in SOMA, San Francisco, and the greater Bay Area.
We’re looking for a dedicated team member to partner with our Food & Retail Curators and our Event Production team to coordinate all our Food & Retail vendors at the night market.
Reports to: Kevin Pelgone & Jenn Lui, Food & Retail Curators
Works with: Make it Mariko Event Team
Partner with our Retail & Food Curators on vendor deadlines and timing
Work with UNDISCOVERED SF good vendors to coordinate critical permit info for the Health Department
Prepare and submit paperwork for Health Department*
Prepare paperwork for the Fire Department and partner with Make it Mariko on submitting*
During Event Day of:
Commit to attending every 3rd Saturday at Undiscovered SF from 11am - 11pm
Manage onsite walk throughs with Fire & Health Departments
Assist with vendor check in and load in
Assist with vendor load out
Experience in any of the following areas: food industry, customer service, vendor relations
Must be extremely detail oriented and organized
Must have great interpersonal skills and communication skills, as you’ll be dealing with a lot of people
Have a “make it happen” attitude and great problem solving skills
Must have access to a computer and WIFI for vendor and team email communication
Must have access to a phone for vendor phone calls
Attend a weekly team all hands Mondays from 6-7pm at Covo in SF (or can call in as needed)
Must be passionate about building community in Soma Pilipinas and helping small businesses
Extensive training will be given so you know the rules and expectations of the Health and Fire department.
A $200 monthly stipend + food credits
