What We Hold

While creating this piece I was thinking about the way we hold our past traumas and how they manifest physically when we aren't given the space to mend them or even recognize their existence. The two friends in the painting are two folks who I have exchanged many personal stories and ways of healing with. Two women who I have learned an incredible amount from in how we hold ourselves and present ourselves in the world.
