Desi is a serial entrepreneur. As the managing director of Plinth Agency, he has successfully grown businesses through strategic branding, design, and crowdfunding. He brings 15+ years of experience creating, funding, and branding unique business concepts which span the food, music, technology spaces.
His past achievements include the Summit SF, one of the nation’s first café and co-working spaces and the Poleng Lounge, a Filipino restaurant and nightclub which was named one of SF’s Top 10 New Restaurants in 2006.
As a dedicated community advocate, Desi is currently chair leading the economic development of SOMA Pilipinas, a newly designated cultural district in San Francisco. He believes community consciousness and culture are the keys to developing today’s thriving commercial ecosystems.
Gina Mariko Rosales is an events enthusiast, efficiency nerd, dancer, and nonprofit advocate. As the Marketing Events Lead at X (formerly known as Google X), Gina creates opportunities for the community to engage with X and their “moonshot” projects. She is also the Founder of Make it Mariko, a San Francisco event production company focused on creating magical, meaningful moments through events.
As an “entrepinay” born and raised in the Bay Area, Gina is passionate about connecting people, creating art, and building community. She was the former Executive Director of the award-winning nonprofit dance company, Funkanometry SF, where she tripled their membership and annual budget, built two new community programs, and founded their first community showcase, The Sockhop. Gina also spent five years working in the nonprofit sector teaching youth after-school programs and doing outreach and communications for local arts education nonprofits. In her spare time, Gina can be found whacking to disco music, walking her dog Mochi, singing karaoke, and working as a crisis chat volunteer for the Trevor Project.
Marky Enriquez aka Proof is heralded as one of the West Coast's DJ elites, throwing game-changing events and spinning coast-to-coast with the hottest selections. As one of the original members of Massive Selector, a San Francisco-based collective of artists, DJs, and entrepreneurs, Marky produces acclaimed events such as Wonder-Full: A Tribute to the Wonders of Stevie, Soul Slam: Prince and Michael Jackson, and the bi-coastal event SFNY.
Professionally, Marky has taken his love of the arts and passion for bringing community together, and turned it into his mission. As a Gallery Director, Marky helped make The Summit, a tech incubator, cafe and art space, one of SF's most exciting new venues to open in 2010. As Marketing Manager / Event Producer for CAAMFest (formerly San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival) he created buzz-worthy campaigns for the nation’s largest showcase for new Asian and Asian American films. Most recently, Marky took his talents to Flavor Group, an award winning marketing agency where he produced experiential programs for UNIQLO, Scion, Red Bull, Hotel Zetta, and more.
Mark Herlihy has been a prominent tastemaker and curator for over 25 years. He founded the now legendary Future Primitive Sound collective, a highly influential event production company, record label, and art gallery.
Future Primitive Sound Session productions, such as the 45 Session (which gave rise to DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist’s: Brainfreeze CD and tour ), and the original recordings for the Live At The Future Primitive CD series, were pivotal in launching the early careers of artists such as DJ Z Trip, Cut Chemist, Doze Green, Shortkut, and Romanowski to name just a few. The Headquarters/ artgallery helped spark the emergence of the vibrant Low Brow art scene in San Francisco. It featured some of the first gallery shows of internationally renown visual artist such as Greg “ Pnut” Galinsky, Kelly Tunstall, Brian Barneclo, David Ellis, Doze Green and others. Its multimedia events were a showcase and testing ground for the very cutting edge of music, visual art, live video, dance and urban art culture in the 90’s and early 2000s. The SoundSessions were immortalized in the award winning internationally distributed documentary SCRATCH by director Doug Pray on Palm Pictures (2001)
On his off time, Mark is an avid practitioner and instructor of the Filipino Martial art: Kalis ilustrisimo. He’s a passionate cook, traveller and lifelong San Franciscan and is always seeking out and cultivating the next big thing …
Emerson Aquino is a leader in the collegiate dance scene and an ambassador of the dance community. Over the past 17 years, he’s danced and trained with 220, Culture Shock Oakland, Dela Femme, Funksters, and The Odds, with his biggest dance accomplishment helping to build the Funkanometry brand into a well-respected and known name in the global hip hop choreo community. Emerson is a staple in the Bay Area scene, having also founded Project M, the all-male dance company, which is still going strong today. He’s the co-owner of the Bay Area’s celebrated urban dance studio, Full Out Studios, and he is also the founder of SF Flash Mob Crew. Emerson Aquino is a man of many talents, and he continues to lead and support the Bay Area dance community.
As a partner and brand strategist at Plinth, Marco has used his creative problem solving skills to build brands in industries including food, hospitality, and event production. He brings 15+ years of experience being part of entrepreneurial projects in various marketing roles.
A native of Southern California, Marco became involved in the Filipino community organizing fellow high school students. As a college student, he honed his writing skills being part of Maganda Art and Literature Magazine.
Marco uses his expertise in brand strategy and copywriting to help entrepreneurs build brands that allow them to thrive in a constantly changing business landscape.

A seasoned veteran of the craft vendor scene, Jenn is the owner and designer of Intwined Bows a bespoke bow tie company since 2009 and also a former co-founder and buyer for The Assembly, a retail boutique located in San Mateo, CA. Her passion for the craft and goods scene led her to founding Black Market SF, a secret night market that was hosted in San Francisco for several years.

Kevin is a partner at the Overlook Lounge in Oakland, CA and is the organizer of Town Social a quarterly rooftop night market hosted in the same venue. He is also a founder of Black Market SF and a former co-founder of The Assembly. As an entrepreneur and marketer, he is driven to support the local community by creating events that enable other small businesses to thrive.
Mia Cruz Guevarra
Mia is a creative curator hailing from Fairfield, CA (707, say it backwards). From social media, crafts, events, and music, Mia showcases her passions through creative arts.
As a student at San Jose State University, Mia gained an understanding and appreciation for the Filipin@ culture. She joined Akbayan, the Pilipino-American organization and rose from an intern to President throughout her college career. She served as Pilipino Cultural Night Coordinator and produced a two-night production titled LABAN, a fictional love story that takes place in the middle of the Philippines' EDSA Revolution in 1986. As President, she led the organization to win three awards including Organization of the Year 2015-2016.
After earning her degree in advertising she has continued to support the Filipin@ community through social media with Empire in the Air clothing and Undiscovered SF. In her free time Mia enjoys attending concerts and festivals across California and spending time with her family and handsome chihuahua, Mac. She is a playlist, pizza, puppy, and Pharrell lover.
RJ is a veteran event producer, entrepreneur, Dj, and dancer who has created both intimate and epic experiences that move people.
RJ is the founder of the Creative Transit Agency that utilizes a unique blend of creativity, strategy, and execution to create memorable moments.
