The Cause
UNDSCVRD's mission is to help develop the SOMA Pilipinas Cultural district. With that in mind, we're inviting everyone to a FREE special pop-up event to support the #APlaceWeCallHomeSF project.
SOMA Pilipinas is working with a broad coalition of community-based organizations and institutions on a measure that will direct City funds collected by the hotel tax (no new taxes), to support organizations and programs that provide services for:
- Homeless Families
- Community Arts
- Cultural Heritage Districts
SOMA Pilipinas gets a budget of $250k annually from the city. The new legislation will increase funding to cultural districts to $4MIL a year!
The increase budget capacity is a game changer and will allow us to build-out the cultural district faster.
